Welcome to the KES Wildcat Art Studio!

Welcome Back Wildcats!!  We're trying out a new format of online studio this year to hopefully assist with keeping our artwork up to date online!  Are you ready for another AMAZING year!?!  I certainly am!  The floors are freshly waxed, the ideas are flowing and we have an ALL NEW Art Through the Ages curriculum this year!!  The past couple of years have been country hop themed (SO MUCH FUN) but I thought a change of pace that involved Famous Artists and Art through History would be a good way to shake things up for the year.  I'll be utilizing a lot of resources from Deep Space Sparkle, a Standards based online community of Art Teachers dedicated to enhancing Art Curriculums and Art Ed experiences across the globe.  Please peruse this website to learn about all the changes we'll be implementing in our Studio this year!

Our Classes

Every class meets once a week for 40 minutes.  Although in the beginning of the year your little artist may have Art on Mondays, please be advised that it will change throughout the year so if you'd like your artist to always have a smock or art shirt with them, please be aware of what day rotation KES is on in order to know when their Art Class is.  Holidays push classes forward one day whereas snow days would have students miss a day of whatever Special they would be in.

Events & Happenings

Fine Arts Week

KES Artists will keep their artwork in a portfolio throughout the year.  This will allow them to see how far they've come when we take home our art, but also, it will allow them to choose their best work for the end of the year Art Show in May!  Please feel free to stop in during Parent Teacher Conferences if you'd like to see their work in person prior to then.  I'll also be setting up a station this year that our Wildcats can share their work if they'd like by taking a photo with our tablet.  I'll periodically upload Artwork to this website from those hoping to share! Flyers will go home in April to let you know the Art Show is coming!
